Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – Madhesh Province have registered their third win of the ongoing PM Men’s Cup 2080. Madhesh registered a 61-run victory against Karnali Province in Kirtipur to get to six points from five matches so far.
Madhesh are currently third on the table, level on points with Sudurpaschim Province and Bagmati Province, who have played three and five matches respectivelyy.
Karnali chasing 232 runs were bundled over on 170 runs in 41.1 overs. Arjun Gharti top scored for Karnali with 58 runs off 102 deliveries, with two fours and two sixes. Dinesh Adhikari scored 33 off 33 with two fours and three sixes. Opener Bipin Shahi made 31 off 38 with six fours.
Rajesh Yadav took three wickets for Madhesh while Pradip Paswan managed to get two wickets.
Earlier, batting first, Madhesh Province got to a total of 231 runs for nine wickets in 50 overs. Skipper Harishankar Shah and Mayan Yadav scored fifty runs each while opener Anil Sah got dismissed on a run-a-ball 44. Abhisekh Tiwari hit four fours and a six to get to 34 off 37. Dipendra Rawat took four wickets for Karnali and Anuj Chanara took two for Karnali.
Karnali have two wins from four matches and curretly sit seventh on the table.
