Kathmandu – Two swimmers will represent Nepal in the 19th FINA World Swimming Championship to be held in Hungary from June 18 to 26. A five member team including two players will leave for Budhapest, Hungary to compete in the event. The Nepali team includes one male and one female player.

Nasir Hussain will compete in the men’s 200 meters freestyle event during the world championship. Likewise, Dubana Lama will compete in the women’s 50 meters and 100 meters breaststroke events.
The team is led by Nepal Swimming Association’s president Ashok Bajracharya. He will also attend the swimming Congress to be held on the sidelines of the main event. Other members of the team include Ratna Lal Maharjan (coach) and NSA Member Deepak Sagar Singh Maharjan (team manager).
National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising bade farewell to the team amid a function on Tuesday.
