Kathmandu – Jawlakhel Youth Club (JYC) played a goalless draw against Brigade Boys Club (BBC) to earn their first point in the Qatar Airways Martyrs Memorial A Division League on Monday.
This is the first draw of JYC in four matches including three defeats. Earlier, they were beaten by an identical scoreline of 1-0 by Manang Marshyangdi Club and Nepal Police Club each and were also defeated 2-0 by Machhindra to sit on the bottom of the league table with zero points.
During Monday’s match, JYC kept their opponents under pressure and created half a dozen chances. However, they were forced to share the spoils due to lack of clinical finish. BBC also created a few chances to score but couldn’t convert them into goals.
With this draw, BBC have five points from four matches. Although Three Star, Police and NRT also have five points, BBC are trailing behind in the ninth position due to goal difference. Meanwhile, JYC have climbed from the rock bottom to the 13 place at the expense of APF, who are now the last-placed team.
