India wins the series with one game in hand

Agency – India beats Zimbabwe by 5 wickets in the second ODI match to win the series with one game in hand. India has taken a 2-0 lead in the tri-series ODI.

India accomplished a target of 162 runs losing 5 wickets in 25.4 overs. India’s wicketkeeper Sanju Samson remained unbeaten on 43 runs off 39 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes and was named the player of the match.

While India’s opener Shikhar Dhawan was out 33 runs facing 21 balls, captain Lokesh Rahul was sent off for 1, Ishan Kishan for 6, and Deepak Hooda for 25 runs. Shubhaman Gill was dismissed for 33 runs off 34 balls.

Zimbabwe lost the toss at the Harare Sports Club and was offered to bat first. Sean Williams of Zimbabwe scored 42 runs off 42 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. Ryan Burl remained unbeaten on 39 runs off 47 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. None of the other Zimbabwean batters could perform on their home field.

India won the first match by 10 wickets. The third and final match will be played on Monday.
