Humagain called up 40 players for close camp

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced a preliminary squad of 40 members for the International Friendly match against Bangladesh.

Nepal is set to compete against Bangladesh in an International Friendly match on September 27. Newly appointed Nepal National Men’s Senior Football team acting head coach Pradip Humagain called up 40 players including young and senior players who were left out by Abdullah Almutairi.

Skipper Kiran Chemjong, Rohit Chand, Sujal Shrestha, Bimal Gharti Magar, Ananta Tamang, Anjan Bista, Tej Tamang, Bishal Shrestha, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Bishal Rai, Suman Lama were excluded from the squad that competed in AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers in June by Almutairi following the conflict between him and the players.  

Ashish Chaudhary, Ritik Khadka, and Ashish Chapagain were included in the senior national team preliminary squad for the first time. Chaudhary and Chapagain were awarded Most Valuable Player and Highest Goal Scorer respectively in Martyr’s Memorial ‘B’ Divison Club 2078. Both the player featured champions Church Boys United.

Defenders: Ananta Tamang, Rohit Chand, Bikash Tamang, Devendra Tamang, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Bikash Khawas, Gautam Shrestha, Tshring Gurung, Suman Aryal, Rajin Dhimal, Nishan Khadka, Amit Tamang

Midfielders: Sanjog Rai, Pujan Uperkoti, Rajan Gurung, Tej Tamang, Arik Bista, Sesehang Angdembe, Sudip Gurung, Bishal Rai, Manish Dangi, Suraj Jeu Thakuri, Subash Gurung, Avash Lamichhane, Sunil Bal, Ayush Ghalan, Sujal Shrestha, Anjan Bista

Forward: Bimal Gharti Magar, Nawayug Shrestha, Ashish Chaudhary, Ritik Khadka, George Prince Karki, Ashish Chapagain, Abhishek Rijal, Bharat Khawas
