Kathmandu – The four-time gold medalist at the South Asian Games (SAG), swimmer Gaurika Singh, has once again demonstrated her exceptional talent by setting another National Record. This time, she achieved this remarkable feat in the 50 meters backstroke event.
Previously, Gaurika had already established a new national record in the 100 meters backstroke during the 20th edition of the World Aquatic Championship, which is being held in Fukuoka, Japan. However, on Wednesday, she managed to surpass her own achievements and set a new national record in the 50 meters backstroke.
Her previous record of 31.87 seconds, which she had set during the 12th South Asian Games (SAG) held in Guwahati, India in 2016, was broken by herself as Gaurika impressively completed the distance in 31.44 seconds.
