Chelsea vs Brighton : Preview

Chelsea will host Brighton on Tuesday after declared as one of the founding members of The Super League.

Chelsea currently are 5th and a win at Stamford bridge will take them to top 4 in the Premier League table. Chelsea will play this match on back of a FA cup semi-final win against Manchester City. Hakim Ziyech scored the only goal of the match and are now through to the final.

Just Manchester City and Manchester United seem to be certain of a place in the Champions League spots, making the chase for the top four exciting. Chelsea has won just seven of their 15 home league games this season. But they have a strong record against Brighton, having won 12 of their 14 matches in all competitions against them.

Brighton are coming off a goalless draw against Everton in this match. The Seagulls are 16th position in the league, six points ahead of Fulham in 18th place. Brighton have a great away record this season having collected 19 points of their total 33.

Man Utd who they played in their last away match escaped with a narrow away win. Match was tied until the last 10 minutes. Chelsea will be without Kovacic, Christensen, Thiago Silva. As for Brighton Lamptey and March will be unavailable along with Andone and Tau.
