Kathmandu – The Cricket Association Nepal (CAN) has unveiled the Nepal National Women’s Cricket Team for an upcoming bilateral series, introducing three fresh talents to the squad.
The Nepal National Women’s Cricket Team is set to make a much-awaited return to international cricket, after a gap of 11 months playing a bilateral series against Malaysia, comprising five T20i matches. The match is scheduled to take place from May 29 to June 4 at the YSD-UKM Oval Stadium in Malaysia.
The national team’s selection committee has included three promising players who will represent Nepal for the first time. Young batter Samjhana Khadka, spinner Kritika Marasini, and pacer Ishwori Bista have earned their spots in the national team, showcasing their exceptional skills and potential in domestic cricket.
Samjhana Khadka, who hails from Sudurpaschim and has been a standout performer in domestic cricket, has impressed with her batting prowess. Her recent performances have caught the attention of the selectors, leading to her inclusion in the squad.
Meanwhile, Ishwori Bista has showcased her dominance over opponents with her formidable bowling skills, making her a valuable addition to the team.
Rubina Chettry will lead the team, with Samson Jung Thapa assuming the role of the team coach.
