Bindu guides Sudurpaschim to a marvelous victory

Sudurpaschim’s skipper Bindu Rawal guided her team to a marvelous victory in an ongoing National Women’s Cricket Tournament.

Chasing a winning target of 61 runs, Sudurpaschim scored 63/1 in 11 overs to win the match by 9 wickets. Opener Bindu Rawal played a not-out inning scoring the highest of 46 runs while Yashoda Bist departed pocketing 2 runs off 7 deliveries. Bindu smashed 8 fours off 43 deliveries to collect the total.

Shova Rokaya* contributed 8 runs. Gandaki’s spinner Niruta GT claimed the lone wicket.

Earlier, Gandaki Province won the toss and began with the bat collected 60 runs with one wicket in hand. Seemana KC top-scored 13 runs off 31 delivery with 2 fours for the losing side. The rest of the batters contributed in a single figure.

While Srijana Paudel and Skipper Shristi Jaisi scored the second-highest of 9 runs, Anjali Bishokarma, Ganga Basnet, and Niruta GT collected a run each. With Kusum Godar departing following a duck out, Sujata Thapa and Serina Thapa* added 6 runs to the tally. Moreover, Dhan Chhetri left the crease with 2 runs in pocket.

Sudurpaschim’s pacer Manisha Chaudhary took 4 wickets expending 14 runs in 4 overs. Further, Ishowri Bist and Sneha Mahara booked one apiece.
