PSG and Barcelona have been rumored to be admirers of Hector Bellerin for a long time now. Every transfer window they are linked with the Spanish right back. Last summer it was rumored that PSG even placed a bid worth 35 million dollars but Arsenal rejected the offer.
As Bellerin approaches his final 2 years of the contract PSG have risen their interest in him. All this time Bellerin and Arsenal have been quiet about his future plans. However, this time Bellerin also seems to be eyeing the departure.
Arteta’s discussion had convinced Bellerin to continue at Arsenal this summer but seems like he would like to compete for the silverware rather than stay at the club for the rebuild process. He is currently the vice-captain of the club and has been only average all season. He got his first Spanish call in over 4 years in November and would love to be the part of national team in the Euros.
He joined the club as a 16-year-old from Barcelona. He was regarded as one of the most promising fullbacks of his generation but injuries haven’t helped him. Arteta regards him highly and was happy to see him stay this season. But if he leaves it would be on good terms.
It’s rumored Arteta has identified his next right-back already. Lamptey of Brighton and Max Aarons of Norwich are the names that have come up.
