Kathmandu – Bagmati Province records an empathic victory of 152 runs over Madesh Province in an ongoing Wai Wai U19 National Cricket Tournament. With the third consecutive victory, Bagmati atops the competition points table and becomes the favorite to play in the finals.

Bagmati’s Inning
Bagmati Province, who won the toss and elected to bat first scored 217 runs including a half-century innings from Uttam Magar and Yogesh Bhat before getting all out in 47.3 overs at Mulpani Cricket Ground.
Opening with the bat, Sakshyam Bastakoti left the crease following a duck out whereas his opening partner contributed 71 runs off 98 deliveries including 12 fours and 1 six.
With 4 fours and 4 sixers, Yogesh Bhat collected 59 runs in 40 deliveries. Pratik Shrestha and Roshan BK scored 30 and 14 runs respectively. Other batsmen couldn’t score in double figures.
Ashok Paudel (8), Atharva Poudyal (3), Omkar Yadav (4), Abishek Koirala (8), and Ahamad Raza returned to the pavilion with 0 runs. Sakriya Karki remained unbeaten for 4 runs.
Rajesh Yadav of Madesh Province took 4 wickets giving away 24 runs in 9.3 overs with 1 maiden. Abjit Mandal (3), Ranjit Kumar (2), and Abishek Tiwari claimed a wicket.
Madesh’s Inning
A 5-wicket haul from Ahamad Raza helped Bagmati Province to defend the winning target of 218 runs. A below-par batting from Madesh Province limited them only to 25.5 overs with 65 runs.
Captain Abihisekh Tiwari collected the highest of 18 runs for Madesh off 32 deliveries with 1 four. Opener Mayan Yadav scored 11 runs off 36 deliveries, other batsmen failed to score in double figures.
While, Shailendra Sah, Megh Raj Ram, and Ali Ansari left the crease following a duck out, Imran Sheikh (3), Dablu Malik (3), Rajesh Yadav (9), Symon Roy (2), and Abjit Mandal returned to the pavilion with 1 run. Ranjit Kumar remained unbeaten for 6 runs.
With a win, Bagmati is leading the competition points table with 6 points. Sudurpaschim stands behind Bagmati with 4 points. Bagmati will face Karnali on Tuesday. Bagmati won its first match against Gandaki by 74 runs and second by 74 rungs against Province 1.
