Kathmandu – Tribhuvan Army Football Club had a stroke of luck with their set pieces against the reigning champions Machhindra, resulting in a 2-0 victory.

Army showed a strong desire to score throughout the first half but struggled to convert their chances. However, Deepak Gurung broke the deadlock heading the ball home three minutes into the second half from the corner kick.
Additionally, Nawayug Shrestha successfully converted the spot kick to double Army’s lead in the 58th minute of the match.
Later, Deepak Gurung was named the Man of the Match. With this win, Army moved up to sixth place in the points table with four points, while Machhindra remains at the bottom with no points.
