Pokhara – Tribhuvan Army Football Club (TAFC) booked its spot in the semifinals of the Men’s Football Tournament belonging to the 9th National Games.
In a final group stage match, TAC defeated Nepal Police Club (NPC) 2-0 to book its semifinal spot. TAFC will vie against Gandaki Province in the semifinals to find their way to the finals.
Nawayug Shrestha and Dinesh Henjan scored in TAFC’s victory at Pokhara Rangashala. Nawayug opened an account in the 15th minute whereas Dinesh multiplied the lead in the 29th minute.
The day’s first match at Gosteghat was called off as NRNA attempted to field the 8 players who faced protest. In aftermath, Gandaki Province declared the winner.
