APF and Bagmati confirmed the semifinal spot

Pokhara – Armed Police Force (APF) and Bagmati Province confirmed their semifinal spots in the Women’s Cricket Tournament under the 9th National Games.

In the first match of the day, APF sidelined Far Western by 5 wickets and marched on to the semifinals remaining unbeaten. APF chased a winning target of 93 runs losing 5 wickets in 16 overs.

In APF’s victory, Indu Burma scored 45 runs off 43 balls with 5 fours. Indu failed to make a half-century after being cut and bowled by Sneha Mahara.

Jyoti Pandey and Roma Thapa collected 11 runs each. Sita Rana Magar added 4 runs whereas Mamata Chaudhary and Manju Bogti scored 7 and 2 runs respectively.

In a second match of the day, Bagmati beat MAdesh Province by 8 wickets. Bagmati chased a modest target of 55 runs and 2 wickets in 13.2 overs. In Bagmati’s win, Suman Khatiwada remained unbeaten on 17 runs with 1 six off 15 balls.

Anisha Majakoti remained unbeaten on 16 runs off 29 balls with 3 fours. Opener Ashmita Kharel went back to the dugout for 13 runs with 1 boundary in 19 balls and Kanchan Shrestha got out for 5 runs.
