Pokhara – Tribhuvan Army Club’s (TAC) runner Jayarani Tharu obtained the second gold medal in an ongoing 9th National Games.
Jayarani clinched gold in women’s 100m hurdles at Pokhara Rangashala on Monday.
Earlier, she won the gold medal in the 400m hurdles breaking her own record. She clocked 1 minute 4.13 seconds (hand timing). She kept a national record of 1 minute 07.2 seconds in Kathmandu in June.
Likewise, Army’s Jeevan Chaudhary won the gold in the men’s 110m hurdles timing 15:03 seconds. Chandradev Joshi of Police won silver with a time of 15:81 seconds and Ram Prasad Tharu of Army won bronze with 19:00 seconds.
