Kathmandu – The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) handed over the responsibility of the Nepal National Women’s Team to Ananta Raj Thapa.

ANFA on Sunday appointed Thapa as the Head Coach of the Women’s National Team for the friendly matches against India. ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai presented the appointment letter to Thapa at the ANFA secretariat.
The former national player Thapa, who is also the head coach of Nepal’s top division league side Nepal Police Club will be looking after the women’s team for the first time in his coaching career.
Likewise, the former national player Ganga Gurung will work alongside Thapa as an assistant coach and Suraj Kumar Moktan will take charge of the custodian department. Moreover, Bindra Dewan has been appointed as the team manager.
The national women’s team will play friendly matches against India to be held between February 13 to 25 in India.
