Kathmandu – The All Nepal Football Association has slapped a fine of Rs 300,000 on Naya Basti Youth Club, a ‘B’ Division outfit, and also banned its players and officials for displaying unruly behavior after losing one of their matches.
The League Committee of ANFA took decision to this effect during a meeting at the ANFA headquarters on April 18.
As per the decision, the club’s official Shree Bahadur Yogi has been banned from all kinds of football-related activities for two years and has also been suspended. Likewise, ANFA has banned the club’s manager Bikash Rai for six months and player Manoj Rai for one year.
The players and officials of the club had resorted to unruly behavior after losing their B Division match against Madhyapur Youth Association 3-1 on April 9. The players had vandalized the players’ box after the defeat. Nayabasti had finished the league in the 11th position.
