Olympian Bista appointed goodwill ambassador

Kathmandu – Olympian Deepak Bista, who holds the record of winning gold medals in four consecutive South Asian Games, has been appointed as the goodwill ambassador of Chure Conservation and Tourism Promotion Foundation along with actor Nikhil Upreti.

The foundation announced Bista and Upreti as its goodwill ambassador amid a function organized in Nijgadh of Bara district on Tuesday. Chief Minister of Madhes Province Lal Babu Raut handed over the appointment letters to the duo.

Bista, who is from far western Nepal, thanked the foundation for appointing him as its goodwill ambassador and pledged to fulfill his responsibilities with utmost sincerity.

Former Member Secretary of the National Sports Council Yubaraj Lama is the coordinator of the foundation established with the objecting of protecting the Chure region and promoting tourism in the area.
