Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – Nepal head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese has announced his 23-man squad for the first FIFA World Cup Qualifiers second-round clash against the UAE in UAE.

Italian head coach Annese has called up three new faces for the away clash against the UAE. Defender Yogesh Gurung, midfielder Nishal Hamal and forward Rajesh Pariyar are the three new faces in the national team squad.
Yogesh played for Three Star Club in the recent A Division League and had 20 appearances for them. SAG Gold Medalist Rajesh Pariyar, who played for Friends Club recently, also received his maiden senior call-up.
Similarly, another new addition, midfielder Nishan Hamal, is a new name in the Nepali footballing circuit. Raised in Portugal, Nishan joined the closed camp a few weeks ago and is not on the 23-man squad list that will jet off to the UAE.
Tribhuwan Army FC midfielder Sesehang Angdembe has also returned to the squad. Sesehang has six official appearances for Nepal and previously played against Pakistan in a friendly in Kathmandu in November 2022. However, regular defender Ananta Tamang is set to miss the UAE clash with a knee injury. However, he has not been ruled out of the second fixture against Yemen at home.
The team will fly to the UAE on Sunday for the fixture on Thursday, November 16. ANFA has bid the team farewell at ANFA Complex on Friday amid a program.
The team will then fly back home for the second fixture against Yemen on November 21.
