Kathmandu – Manang Marshyangdi Club climbed up to second place in the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League after beating APF 2-1 at Dasarath Stadium.
APF took the lead in the 34th minute with Armand Beadoum’s header off skipper Nabin Lama’s cross. However, Manang came back in the second half with Kamal Thapa’s half-volley from Sumit Shrestha’s cross in the 53rd minute. Substitute Sayidjamol Davlatjonov’s then fired the ball from outside the penalty area in the 72nd minute to confirm Manang’s second victory in a row.
With this win, Manang moved to second just below Satdobato Youth Club with 11 points from 5 matches.
In the earlier match at Dasarath Stadium, Nepal Police Club earned their first point of the league with a 1-1 draw against New Road Team – NRT.
NRT took an initial lead with Sanjeeb Bista’s goal in the 65th minute before Purna Gurung canceled out their lead converting a free kick in the 77th minute.
