6th KNP Nerolac Women’s Volleyball to kick off on Saturday

Kathmandu – The sixth edition of the KNP Nerolac National Women’s Volleyball Tournament is scheduled to kick off on Saturday. Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Foundation is organizing the tournament aiming to empower and enhance the capacity of women volleyball players.

The tournament will be held from February 4 to 7 at NSC Covered Hall in Kathmandu. The foundation, which has been organizing the National Women’s Volleyball Tournament every year since 2015, could not hold the tournament for the last three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The foundation has roped in KNP Nerolac as the tournament’s title sponsor. Gamli Khadka, Patron of the Foundation, and Manoj Kumar Mishra, Country Director of KNP Nerolec, penned down the sponsor agreement amidst a press conference on Wednesday.

The winner of the tournament will be rewarded with NRs. 3 Lakhs while the runners-up will purse NRs. 1.5 Lakhs. The team finishing third will receive NRs. 75 thousand and the Most Valuable Player of the tournament will be felicitated with NRs. 50 thousand.
