Kathmandu – Jhapa’s Umesh Rai has lifted the title of 16th Dharmashree Bodybuilding Championship on Sunday. He finished ahead of Lalit Dhimal of Jhapa-based Galaxy Fitness Club.
Rai bagged a trophy, medal, certificate and cash prize of Rs 1 million. Runner-up Dhimal received cash prize of Rs 500,000. Third-placed Krishna Bahadur Suryabanshi of Naya Bazar walked home with a cash prize of Rs 200,000.
Likewise, Aswastha Sthapit of Nepal Byam Mandir won the title of the men’s physique event organized for the first time under this championship. In the women’s section, Bhaktapur’s Jasmine Lama won the honours.
