Former Nepal National Cricket team captain Paras Khadka is one amongst supreme seven athletes to be felicitated in HamroKhelkud’s anniversary.
The first international medal winner for Nepal Jit Bahadur Kc, the South Asian Games (SAG) record holder runner Baikuntha Manandhar, the Gold Medalist of SAG both as coach and a player Raju Kaji Shakya, the first player to succeed in the qualifiers and played in the Olympics Sangina Baidhya and Deepak Bista who has won the most medals in individual events in an international arena are amongst to be honoured have been revealed earlier.
Khadka is the most successful captain and player in the history of Nepali Cricket. Nepal had only played a single T20 World Cup so far. Khadka was the captain of the team when Nepal competed in its first T20 World Cup in 2014 and when Nepal got ODI recognition in 2018. Nepal won the first title of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Division 5, Division 4 and 3 under his captaincy. He is the first player to score centuries in both ODI and T20 for Nepal.
Seven players including Khadka will be honored on the anniversary of HamroKhelkud on 4th August, 2022 (19th Shrawan, 2079). HamroKhelkud will announce the names of the players who will be honored one per day. HamroKhelkud came into operation from Sharawan 19, 2072. Moreover, this is the first time that HamroKhelkud is celebrating its anniversary publicly. HamroKhelkud has been publishing news, articles, photos, videos and other materials related to national and international sports since its inception.
Similarly, HamroKhelkud has been live telecasting various national and international competitions through its Facebook page and Youtube channel with an aim of bringing domestic competitions to the Nepali audience. In 2019, HamroKhelkud broadcasted live of the AVC Central Zone Men’s Volleyball Championship held in Nepal which was the first International Competition they broadcasted live.
As a news portal that is directly related to Nepali sports, HamroKhelkud is going to honor seven athletes of all time who have contributed to take Nepali sports to a certain height on the occasion of its seventh anniversary. National and international players, coaches, sports officials, sports journalists and others will participate in the program at Ashok Party Palace in Patan. The event will be broadcast live on its Facebook page and YouTube channel.
