Sandeep Lamichhane shines with ball against Adelaide Strikers

Kathmandu – Nepali cricket team’s captain Sandeep Lamichhane has performed exceptionally well with the ball in the 35th match of Big Bash League against Adelaide Strikers. Chasing a target of 127 runs, Adelaide had made 114 runs in the 13th overs losing two wickets. Matthew Short of Adelaide Strikers was unbeaten on 67 runs. Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets in four overs giving away 22 runs.

Earlier, Hobart were invited to bat first after losing the toss. They were able to score 126 runs in 19.5 overs losing all wickets. Darcy Short of Hobart topscored 32 runs off 32 balls. Sandeep Lamichhane managed to score only two runs.

Sandeep’s overall performance in Big Bash

Sandeep Lamichhane has taken 8 wickets in nine matches of Big Bash so far this season. He was unable to take any wickets in four matches. He took one wicket against Sidney Sixers in  his first match but was unable to take any wicket in the second match against the same team. He then took a wicket of Perth in his third match but again failed to take any wicket against the same team in the fourth match.

He then remained wicketless against Melbourne Stars and Perth giving away 32 and 39 runs respectively in four overs. In another match against Adelaide Strikers, Sandeep was unable to take any wicket in three overs giving away 31 runs. He then managed to take three wickets against Melbourne Renegades in 3.5 overs giving away 32 runs followed by a wicket against Brisbane Heat in four overs.
