Nepal vs Bangladesh : International Friendly Football

Nepal National Football Team is gearing up for International Friendly series against Bangladesh National Football Team to be held in Bangabandhu International Stadium in Dhaka, later this month. Both the teams have started their training in respective national stadiums, with the visiting team preparing for their journey in few days.

Nepal, without their head coach Johan Kalin are preparing under Stand in head coach Balgopal Maharjan. Kalin was unable to attend the match after travel restrictions in Sweden. Maharjan, who won Gold Medal the U-23 team during the 13th South Asian Games in 2019 December will look after the team.

Maharjan was the head coach of the team during team’s dismal performance in 2018 SAFF Championship too. Nepal will play their first match on 13th November and end the tour with another match on the 17th.

The preparation took a hit when 5 players in the camp were tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) out of 34 players called in. The camp has continued with some minor injuries to other players too. The final squad is expected to be announced directly at the end of training session. The team is expected to depart on the 7th of November.
