Kathmandu – The Nepal T20 League got its final four after the completion of round-robin matches on Saturday.
Lumbini All Stars, Janakpur Royals, Biratnagar Super Kings, and Kathmandu Knights are the franchises advanced to the playoffs.
The All Stars and the Royals booked their spot in the playoffs earlier. However, Biratnagar Super Kings defeated Kathmandu Knights by 7 wickets on Saturday’s first clash to advance to the playoffs.
Furthermore, Far West United won over Pokhara Avengers by 41 runs to end the Avengers’ dream to qualify for playoffs. The result went in favor of the Kathmandu Knights as they remained fourth in the competition points table.
With 16 points from 10 matches, Lumbini All Stars topped the points table. Janakpur Royals ended the round-robin remaining a step behind Lumbini collecting 14 points. Biratnagar finished third.
The table toppers Lumbini All Stars will see Janakpur Royals in the first playoff on January 8. The winners will directly book their spot in the finale. The other will have to compete in the eliminator to qualify further.
The third and fourth will meet in the eliminator on January 9. The winner of the eliminator will be qualified to play off 2 and the other will end their journey in Nepal T20 League.
The eliminator winner will face the outplayed team of playoff 1 in playoff 2 on January 10. Further, the winner of playoff 2 will get qualified for the final to be held on 11th January.
