MLS – FC Dallas secure late draw against Vancouver

Last minute own goal secure a point for home side as FC Dallas play 2-2 stalemate against the visiting sides Vancouver Whitecaps.

FC Dallas register their fifth draw in the season as a added time own goal from Ranko Veselinovic makes it all square at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco.

FC Dallas had first say in the game as Ricardo Pepi continues his good run of form heading the home side in the 22 minute in the first half. The 18 years old home grown youngster scored his fifth league goal in 10 matches. The goal came after Pepi was denied twice in 12th minute in the game by Vancouver keeper Maxime Crepeau who had a great show throughout the game.

The lead was short lived for Dallas as the visitors equalized in the 30th minute with Lucas Daniel Cavallini’s brilliant effort for goal from inside the box.

Vancouver took the lead in the first half as Andy Rose headed the visitors for a lead before the end of the half.

Dallas continued their thrive for the equalizer, only denied by the visiting side’s keeper who had a brilliant show through the game.

The leveler came in the third minute of the 8 minute added time as Ranko Veselinovic own goal. Pepi had couple efforts in a search for a late drama, however his shots did not trouble Crepeau.

Dallas stand 12th in the western conference with 11 points in 11 matches while Vancouver are one position below in the table with 9 points.
