Lacazette penalty seals win for Arsenal in NLD

Arsenal came from behind to beat 10-man Tottenham 2-1 at the Emirates. Thanks to a goal from Martin Odegaard and a penalty from Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was dropped to the bench for violating disciplinary procedures, Lacazette assumed the armband. Arsenal started on a high as they kept the possession and were looking to be a constant threat.

Emile Smith Rowe and Cedric both hit the post first and none of the gooners could put Arsenal ahead. Son went off in 16 minutes and Mourinho brought in Lamela who scored the opening. A brilliant rabona, nutmegged Thomas Partey and the ball went straight into the bottom corner; Spurs lead Arsenal 1-0.

Arsenal finally got their reward when Kieran Tierney found Odegaard in space in the Spurs box. On 33 minutes, the on-loan Real Madrid winger’s shot was deflected into the net by Toby Alderweireld.

Arsenal continued to put pressure in the second half as well. In the 64th minutes Lacazette finds himself 1 vs 1 against Lloris and shoots but he misjudges it. However, Davinson Sanchez makes a bizzare tackle and brings down Lacazette.

Arsenal get a controversial penalty which Lacazette scores. Lacazette has now scored 3 goals in last 4 North London Derbies. Lamela turned villain as he was penalized for a high arm on Tierney. He was sent off as he got his second yellow card.

Harry Kane brought Spurs level but linesman ruled it out as he was offside. Moments later he hit the post from a freekck and Gabriel made a goal line clearance from a rebound.
