Nepali international Basanta Regmi will be featuring for Hollywood Master Blasters in minor league cricket tournament which will be played in the United States.

Basanta was one of the 400 players who was selected for 27 team draft that concluded on Friday, June 4 virtually through an online conference.
Hollywood Master Blasters is Los Angeles based club in the regional western conference which features Silicon Valley Strikers and Bay Blazers from the San Fransisco Bay area. SoCal Lashings are other club from LA. Meanwhile Golden State Grizzlies represent Sacramento, while San Diego Surf Riders from San Diego and Seattle Thunderbolts from Seattle will also compete in the region.

All 27 teams for the tournament selected 15 players in the draft with each yet to announce one wildcard professional. Each player will at least have two USA based professional players, three priority domestic players, seven domestic players and three youth players out of which two are under 21 while one should be under 19.
The 400 players including Basanta Regmi have been selected from 2000 players that registered themselves from the draft. Another Nepali international Prithu Baskota is also supposed to be playing for one of the 27 teams.
The minor league cricket, presented by Sling TV will feature 208 matches. The opening matches in the conference will be played from July 31 to Aug. 1, while the finals of the tournament will be played on October.
Basanta Regmi has not featured for international matches for Nepal since his appearance in 2019 for the T20 world cup qualification matches in Singapore.
