Aditya taps in late as Three Star twinkles on rainy evening

Kathmandu – Aditya Shakya scored late as Three Star Club shone brightly on a rainy evening at Dasarath Stadium on Monday.

Three Star Club recorded a 1-0 victory over Satdobato Youth Club in the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League with Aditya finding the back of the net in the 89th minute. Aditya made a run from the left side of the box and tapped in Anil Maharjan’s corner to seal the three points for his side.

Three Star Club now has 7 points from 4 matches, moving up to fourth place in the league’s point table, while Satdobato Youth Club remains still in second place after suffering their first defeat of the season.

Earlier, FC Khumaltar silenced Himalayan Sherpa Club 2-1 at the Chyasal Stadium.

Manish Thapa gave Khumaltar the lead in the 22nd minute, and Stephane Samir Binong doubled their lead in the 65th minute.

Biswash Shrestha scored a consolation goal for Himalayan Sherpa in the 80th minute from a freekick near the box.

Himalayan Sherpa now has 4 points from 4 matches and stands in 10th position, while Khumaltar moved up to a fifth place with 6 points from 4 matches.
