Kathmandu – Nepali kung-fu players secured three gold medals in the WUMA (World Unified Martial Arts) European Championship in the UK.
Nepali player Sanjay Putuwar won two gold medals while Bhupendra Gurung clinched one in the championship that kicked off on May 15.
Nepal WUMA Kung-fu Association’s President Siddhartha Lama is also in the UK and is assuming the role of an official as well as a judge during the championship.
Altogether 550 players from 50 different nations are competing in the event, informed Lama.
Lama assumed the role of a judge in the matches featuring players from Denmark, Germany, Thailand and the USA.
