Henry, Bergkamp and Vieira join Daniel Ek to buy Arsenal

Daniel Ek, the owner of Spotify, is making a deal to purchase Arsenal with the support of former Arsenal players Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Patrick Vieira.

If Stan Kroenke, the owner of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, decides to sell the team he has led since April 2011, he is expected to demand up to at least £2 billion.

But there are also news that Kroenke rates Arsenal FC as their crowning jewel in their sports business and are unwilling to sell.

Daniel Ek on twitter wrote “As a kid growing up, I’ve cheered for Arsenal as long as I can remember. If KSE would like to sell Arsenal I’d be happy to throw my hat into the ring.” This statement came right after Josh Kroenke’s meeting with Arsenal fan forum and amidst the protest.

The presence of three legendary retired players may add to the urgency to reach an agreement with Ek. Outside the Emirates Stadium, about 3,000 Arsenal fans demonstrated against the Kroenkes’ possession in their last match.
